During the Covid era of 2017, when E-commerce in Trinidad and Tobago had been slow, but steady, Online Edu Tech was established to navigate the e-commerce world – to provide goods and services via the worldwide web primarily to persons who could not leave their homes to acquire these essential products themselves. As the name implies, our business’ signature feature was, back then, and still now, to offset the shortfall in educational requirements of students since schools were closed throughout the country at that time and children were being home schooled. Like other small businesses of its kind, OET has been resourceful and innovative in finding ways to sell online without a website. Nonetheless, our educational platform continues to proliferate the market with our high demand products by utilizing low cost digital tools such as social media and existing platforms. Today, our business competes with over 1,200 business entities in Trinidad and Tobago that engaging in some form of e-commerce of a similar nature.
Products and Services As our name implies, we offer a wide range of educational products and services from educational programmes for early and slow learners, stationary, books and other school supplies, toys, electronic board and card games, computerized items, phones and other gadgets. We also provide a unique baby items and gift line, which includes several items that are created via our exclusive brand. In addition, we supply used low-cost items such as used books and toys in prime condition and we ensure that our products are always of high quality, despite the reduced prices. We also fill orders for school booklists and book-covering services. In collaboration with this aspect of the business, we make online orders for foreign products for our clients. Delivery and scheduled collection services are also part of our business aspect. Since our early beginnings, we have also included personalizing gift items and specialized computer services. We are currently working on a garden store line, providing organic crops and decorative plants to our varied clientele.
